Class 5 Maths - Milk, Petrol & Paint Problems
Welcome to Ichoda Milk Cooperative Society! Today we'll solve problems about milk collection, packaging, petrol pump sales, and paint calculations. These are real-world math problems that help farmers, shopkeepers, and drivers in their daily work.
First, convert all quantities to litres:
- Laxmi: 12 L 500 ml = 12.5 L
- Ramaiah: 9 L = 9.0 L
- Rahim: 8 L 800 ml = 8.8 L
- Jani: 10 L 700 ml = 10.7 L
Now arrange from highest to lowest:
Total = 12.5 L + 9.0 L + 8.8 L + 10.7 L
Rahim supplied: 8 L 800 ml = 8.8 L
Payment per litre: ₹ 20
Rahim's payment = 8.8 × 20
Total from Ponna village = (from part b)
Total from 12 villages = 12 × (Ponna village total)
